Security cameras are a necessity when involving an elder care facility, nursing home, hospital, or child care. Security cameras are not just used to ensure the occupants are safe from vandalism and unwanted intruders. Security cameras can be used to monitor activity inside as well as outside the facility or home.
In today's fast paced world we often find families with two working parents who required child care or baby sitting services. Whether the services are located at a facility or home, keeping in touch with your children is essential. Video cameras are increasingly used by child care providers to help parents connect with their small children remotely during the working hours. For in-home use, NannyCams are being used to monitor child care professionals to ensure the atmosphere at home is pleasant and nourishing. By use of the internet, wired and wireless technologies, video cameras are providing remote monitoring options that were never before possible.

Child and Doggie Daycares
We have the ultimate system for both Child Daycares and Doggie Daycares that wish to keep their webcams private.
We offer IP ONLINE CAMERAS for customers with multiple viewers and multiple cameras. This works great for Daycare & Doggie Daycare business owners that would like to control who sees what cameras and when. As the Business Owner you can:
- Assign user names and passwords for each of your customers to view the cameras.
- Assign what camera(s) each customer can view
- Active and deactivate accounts with a click of a button
- Set your cameras to turn on and turn off at a certain time everyday
- Check all cameras at once with a Master Webcam Page
Network Recommendations & Requirements:
You must have a High-Speed Internet connection (Cable, DSL or T1) at the location you are streaming the webcams.
We recommend getting a static IP address. If your IP address changes, it could take down your cameras occasionally. A static IP address is an IP that never changes, you need to contact your Internet provider to request this. There are work arounds, however, we recommend a static IP. It's the only way to be sure they stay online.
Benefits of Care Services Video Surveillance
- Liability - Ask any insurance agent about fraudulent claims. Security cameras help provide visual evidence of false injury or accident reports, saving service provides pricey unwarranted insurance claims.
- Real-Time Monitoring - Video surveillance provides hospitals, nursing homes, and child-care facilities a tool to monitor critical areas continuously, in real-time, from personal computers or wireless devices.
- Protect employees and residents – Cameras recording entrances and exits can help protect your staff and charges from unwanted intruders. In secured environments like memory care facilities, indoor cameras placed near exits can help you prevent confused residents from wandering outdoors unsupervised.
- Secure your building – Outdoor cameras in parking lots and open spaces can dissuade thieves from breaking into cars or loitering on your property.
- Remote broadcasting – NVRs (network video recorders) enable you to broadcast your security footage over the internet and check it from any accessible device (including many cell phones). This is especially handy if you manage multiple care facilities or have a particularly large home – you can make sure all your buildings or locations are safe without having to be in multiple places at once.
- Improve image – IP video cameras provide superior quality footage in comparison to analog CCTV systems, making it easier to quickly identify who is in your security camera's field of vision.
Configuration of Security Cameras at Nursing Facilities Example
There are many things to consider when setting up a surveillance system for an assisted living facility.
Consider the following when purchasing and installing your system:
- What do you consider your most important security issues?
- Do you feel that surroundings contribute to your overall security?
- Have you ever wished that you caught a certain event on camera?
- What kind of facility are you?
- A general care facility like a nursing home with options for specialized care giving (like memory care).
- A specialized facility, like a memory care home, where one type of resident lives.
- Have you ever had problems with employee theft?
Setup Advice for Assisted Care Facilities
- Put cameras in open areas where residents and staff congregate: activity areas, dining halls, TV rooms and hallways.
- Place cameras strategically in entryways and reception areas so you get a clear shot of each visitor as they enter and exit.
- Security cameras in stockrooms and supply closets can help you monitor your supplies and prevent theft.
- If your facility has more than one building or you operate multiple facilities, consider an NVR (network video recorder). NVRs broadcast your camera feeds over the internet and allow you to check on your footage from any camera at any time.
